Irish Search Dogs congratulate their experienced handler Glen on successfully completing the trainee assessment programme with his newest charge Kobe. Glen’s qualified Search Dog ‘Ben’ will no doubt continue to help teach Kobe along the way. The freezing temperatures on Sunday paled against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. These times have been such a challenge for all the voluntary search and rescue groups. We are deemed an essential service and like so many search and rescue groups it has taken some time for us to adapt our assessment process to ensure the safety of all those involved. We will continue to strive to do our utmost to serve the missing, their families and friends.
