On behalf of Cork City First Responders, Pat Carroll (Scheme Coordinator), sincerely thanked the Condon family including the nieces and nephews of the late Sharon Condon from Farranree Cork. The family held a major fund-raising drive to purchase three defibrillators, donating two of them to the Cork City First Responder scheme and the third to the Cope Foundation in Hollyhill where Sharon was a service user. The family also made a donation to the Irish Cancer Society.
Ensuring Sharon’s legacy lives on through others, these life saving defibrillators have been commissioned and will be used by the Cork City First Responders as they answer emergency calls within Cork city.
Accepting the defibrillators on behalf of Cork City First Responders are Majella Carroll (Fund-raising) who supported the Condon family during Sharon’s illness, Eric Donovan (Training), Tony O’Brien (Despatcher), Terry Forde & Eoin Donovan (Responders) and Pat Carroll (Scheme Coordinator).
