Cork Beo reported today that the pup looks a little worse for wear but he’s been freed uninjured thanks to some careful maneuvering from the fire brigade.
A pup who got himself into a tricky situation when he fell into a drain was lucky to have a team of fire fighters on hand to set him free. The Ballyvolane crew from the Cork city Fire brigade rushed to this little guy’s rescue early this morning and were able to free him after some careful maneuvering.
Anxious family watched on as the fire fighter’s were able to dissemble the drain and reach in to retrieve their puppy without using power tools so as to make sure he wasn’t hurt in the process.
Thankfully he emerged looking tired, wet, and little worse for wear but unharmed, and undoubtedly in for a day of pampering as he recoups.
The fire fighters said they were only too happy to come to the aid of the pup who had had a “woof morning”. “After some time and hard work the pup was happy to be freed to safety,” they said.
