Occupational First Aid Refresher Course | FAR, PHECC FAR (PreHospital Emergency Care Council)
This course educates employees in the proper response to any workplace emergency. Occupational First Aid Courses are heavily focused on providing the necessary skills to enable the employees deal with injuries that would be likely to occur at their workplace.
It meets and exceeds current Health & Safety Standards and requirements for employee training. Participants learn how to recognise medical emergencies & casualty assessment.
All Rapid Response CPR Training instructors delivering this course are certified First Aid Instructors and have vast experience in the delivery of First Aid training in the workplace. This course is run to current HSA standards.
Course Objectives

- Understand new developments in First Aid
Course Content
The content of the course will assist with developing a preventative approach to accidents/injuries at work. The course is structured to give the participant a good general knowledge of First Aid principles with special emphasis on potential hazards particular to the workplace and in accordance with the Health & Safety Authorities Guidelines on First Aid at Places of Work
- First Aid in the workplace

This course is ideal for:
Certified Occupational First Aiders, who wish to keep up with developments in First Aid and refresh skills that may be used intermittently. On successful completion of this course Candidates will be recertified as Occupational First Aiders for a further two years.
Certification:
Participants are examined in accordance with the Health and Safety Authority’s guidelines on First Aid at Places of Work. On successful completion of the course a FETAC level 5 Occupational First Aid Certificate which complies with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 & General Applications Regulations 2007 is awarded to the participant. This certificate is valid for two years. A one day refresher will then update the participant for a further two years.
