Emergency First Aid Course
Would you know what to do in an emergency? This one day course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer Emergency First Aid care. Participants will learn a high level of practical skill so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise.
This course has an emphasis on dealing with emergency life threatening situations in the absence of an Occupational First Aider and keeping the casualty alive until professional help arrives.
Course Content
The course content will be tailored to suit your specific requirements to include some of the following elements:
- First aid in the workplace
- Patient assessment
- Respiratory emergencies
- Cardiac first response (includes defibrillation)
- Wounds & bleeding
- Altered levels of consciousness
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Burns, scalds poisons & electric shock

½ day and 1 day courses available

This course is ideal for:
Persons wishing to be able to deal with an emergency situation, before the arrival of the designated Occupational First Aider.
Certification:
On successful completion, course participants are issued with a basic first aid certificate of attendance.
